Why it's not so bad to be a one-hit wonder.
Before the invention of the iPod and iTunes, being a one-hit wonder meant making a few million bucks off one songs and then leaving the music scene, pretty much for good. Now with iTunes, single songs are able to be downloaded, instead of the old requirement of buying an entire CD. For many who just wanted a single song, this was a dilemma and I believe many didn't want to spend 10+ dollars to get that single song. I don't have any figures, but I've thought that iTunes must have been the greatest invention ever to come along in the lives of the members of this one-hit wonders. Now that you can just buy a single song, these forgotten bands are making more millions years later off just that one song!
